HIMA represents over 1000 members across the globe. It represents 78% of the European Home Improvement Market and is expanding to other countries.

Home Improvement industry has undergone a significant transformation over the past decade. The face of the market is quickly evolving, and supplier and manufacturers must adapt to new shifts in demographics, attitudes and end consumer preferences. The reality is that business is becoming ever more complex at a greater speed.

In order to create a suitable environment for organisations to prepare for the next level of change and complexity, HIMA, formerly known as fediyma, has decided to implement a new strategy and scope of the association.

Who are we?

HIMA origins lie in the the European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (fediyma), which was created in March 2000 by its founding members BHETA (United Kingdom), Herstellerverband Haus & Garten (Germany) and Inoha (France). FEBIN (Belgium), MADE4DIY (Italy), AFEB (Spain) and IVG (Germany) have also joined the federation in recent years.
